The work Extraterrestrial arose from the idea of bringing a distant world to ours. The smartphone was to serve as a portal. The object, as an artefact of another species, was intended to suggest a distant world governed by different cosmic laws. Distortion and curvature override our laws and reveal a different perception of space. This work was created using Cinema 4D in the standard render engine. The portal using the smartphone was implemented by Artivive, which uses video mapping to fix moving images onto picture frames.
