The task for this project was to develop accessories for Päijän boats. A Finnish company with long heritage which produces paddle boats. Päijän wanted to expand their product portfolio with useful rowing products. One of the main products was a rotating seat at the rear of the boat. It had to be detachable, stable and fit for different sized boats. The mounting for the seat should accommodate different seats wich could be bought separately. Our challenge was to design the construction where the seat is mounted on. For stability and mounting options a metal plate was added to the tubing. We also bent the metal plate to add more stability. This plate could then accommodate different sized swivel plates and seats.
