The task was to construct and visualize an exhibition stand for the furniture manufacturer Thonet. My research started by analyzing the most used materials in Thonets Craftsmanship which are wood, leather, canvas, and also a woven material called „Wiener Geflecht“ which is mainly used for chairs and builds an octagonal shape. The idea for the exhibition stand was to use octagonal shapes to create different rooms inside the exhibition stand. The octagonal are open to increase the visibility into the space. The shapes are also made of woven material. Viewers can also get a glimpse into the space from the outside.
